Welcome to the Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation Funding Application Site!
LCPS Foundation Mission:  The mission of the Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation is to serve as a private partner with the district to provide funds to the learning community in the Las Cruces Public School District to support and enhance the educational experiences of students, promote innovation in the classroom, increase community involvement in education and pursue and recognize excellence in teaching and learning.

The LCPS Foundation provides 5 different funding opportunities that support the LCPS Foundation’s Mission.  Please use this website to apply for these funds!

1.  Innovative Classroom Grants:
Teachers, principals, school administrators, social workers, counselors, and/or ancillary staff can apply for grants that benefit individual classrooms, or their entire school community. Educators may submit more than one application, but are only eligible to receive one award per school year. Grants are awarded for up to a maximum of $4999.00

2. Classroom Supplies Mini-Grants:

The Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation is proud to support the outstanding LCPS educators in the quest for excellence in our classrooms. In collaboration with the Virginia Brilliant Endowment, The Mesilla Valley Transportation Endowment, and other donors, the Foundation is able to offer an opportunity to award mini-grants of $100 each to  teachers for classroom supplies.

3.  Off-Cycle Requests
The LCPS Foundation supports programs and activities that actively support the organization's mission.  The LCPS Foundation does not fund: National Health Organizations and their local affiliates, sponsorship of fundraising events, sports teams or athletic events, individual travel expenses, salaries or wages to individuals or groups, private schools, continuing education for teachers and staff, or multi-year requests.

4. Student Scholarships
The LCPS Foundation awards scholarships during the spring semester to graduating seniors from any of the Las Cruces School District's high schools. Some scholarships have specific eligibility requirements established by the donors. Seniors must apply for a scholarship at www.lcpsf.smapply.io. (This site) No individual can be awarded more than one scholarship. The Foundation Scholarship committee will meet to review all applications and the recipients will be notified by email. The scholarship awards will be presented to the recipients at their high school's Senior Award Ceremony and will be made out to the institution the student is attending.

5.  Classified Employee Scholarship

The LCPS Foundation awards a scholarship during the spring semester to a full-time classified employee of LCPS who would like to advance their education and career. Classified employees include Associate Librarians, Campus Security, Custodians, Educational Assistants, Library Assistants, Nutrition Services Employees, Nutrition Services Warehouse Employees, Materials Management Employees, Physical Plant Department Employees, and Secretarial/Clerical Employees. Please review the scholarship description carefully to ensure that you meet the criteria. Checks are made out to the institution for which you apply in the Fall, not to individuals.
